about

WORKPRINT OF DOCUMENTARY VALUE:

"Industrial Mining" was 2007's original version of what was later released in 2009 as "Kontrol", after gaU left the band and the concept was overhauled (see the Kontrol trailer on youtube for more info).

"Industrial Mining" was created as follow-up to "//:firewall" after Wertstahl had two appearances on the BLC Records' "Interbreeding" sampler series.

We turned away from BLC Records after poor mastering quality issues that came up with the release of "High Speed Death" (later to be "Time For Smiling") on forementioned sampler series. BLC records soon after vanished.

This version can be considered a workprint with heavily treated demo layout-vocals to build a track base for later re-recording. Due to the impending release on Danse Macabre Records, pressure was high to create a perfect result, which, accompained by poor leadership decisions and unfortunate communication, lead to gaU unexpectedly leaving the project.

Thanks to gaU for giving permission the release this version.
