about

From Sebastian I. Hartmann aka Wertstahl, past producer of Tyske Ludder and Fleischdolls, comes his 16th album "Megademon" under the monicker of psAux.
The command "ps aux" will reveal all active tasks to the user of a unix/linux based computer system. It is helpful to get an immediate overview of what is going on.
psAux officially replaces and continues the former electro-ambient monicker of aGe2.1

Originally intended to be a collection of unrelated, unfinished leftovers, reviewing and reworking of 21 tracks and demos began in early 2016. Suddenly, but not surprisingly, patterns emerged. Thus, the entire collection was, over the course of 9 Months, transformed meticulously, into a concept album. And like some flappy Bird from the ashes of precious childhood memories, a fully pixelated 21-Track endboss (Megademon) was born.

Megademon carries the demoscene-related "mega-demo" definition (tediously extended demonstration of skills) in it. Just dispose of the last "n" and there you go! The pixelated coyote canoeing down the river is a reference to the native people and tribes of what is called "America".

psAux acknowledges the teachings of Carlos Castaneda. Therefore this release has deep meditative and energy-refocusing qualities to it. Whilst listening, enjoy nature. Be it looking out of the window of your home, taking seat under an old tree or bicycling that extra mile. You are welcome to take a close look at the finer details. The 1980's-style mixing and sound-design is intended.
