about

From Sebastian I. Hartmann, known as producer of Wertstahl and Tyske Ludder, comes his album "Megademon", debuting under the monicker of psAux.
The command "ps aux" will reveal all active tasks to the user of a unix/linux based computer system. It is helpful to get an immediate overview of what is going on.
psAux officially supersedes the former electro-ambient project aGe2.1

Originally intended to be a collection of unrelated, unfinished demos, reviewing and reworking of 21 tracks and demos began in early 2016. Suddenly, but not surprisingly, patterns emerged. Thus, the entire collection was transformed meticulously, into a concept album over the course of 9 Months. And like some flappy Bird from the ashes of precious childhood memories, a fully pixelated 21-Track endboss (Megademon) was born.

Megademon carries the demoscene-related "mega-demo" definition (tediously extended demonstration of skills) in it. The pixelated coyote canoeing down the river is a hommage to the native people and tribes of "America".

psAux acknowledges the teachings of Carlos Castaneda. Therefore this release has deep meditative and energy-refocusing qualities to it. Whilst listening, enjoy nature. Be it looking out of the window of your home, taking seat under a majestic tree or bicycling that extra mile. You are welcome to take a close look at the finer details. The 1990's-style mixing and sound-design is intended.
